The Malden Chamber of Commerce was honored to co-host the Asian Business Pitch Competition in April, 2023. The Pitch Competition, led by Andy Goldberg of the nonprofit ElevAsian, brought together area Asian business owners to “pitch” their products and services. Coached by a team of Boston University professors, these business owners left with constructive criticism while some left with cash prizes.

The Malden Chamber of Commerce benefited tremendously from co-hosting this event. We were able to bring area business owners to our City for an evening at Malden’s historic library. The contestants and their friends and colleagues ate at our local restaurants. A Malden Chamber Board member served as a judge, a role considered highly valuable by her employer. Two Malden Chamber members participated and both were invited to join the Board of the Malden Chamber because of their leadership. And, finally, we gained two new Chamber members because of the introduction made by the Asian Business Pitch Competition.

  • "Not only did I have an opportunity to share my idea with residents of Malden and to get direct feedback from judges but also I had an chance to learn what other Asian entrepreneurs are doing, which was really valuable. I would definitely recommend this Asian business pitch contest to anyone who has an idea. "
