Origin Story

The ElevAsian Marketplace was born out of something we witnessed firsthand at our alumni networking events. As alumni deepened relationships with peers from their cohorts and forged new connections across other cohorts, something remarkable began to unfold: friendships rooted in shared experience naturally evolved into business relationships. Perhaps no story illustrates this better than that of Richard Kim, a 4th cohort alumnus and founder of the Korean Fried Chicken restaurant Gangnam Spice. When it came time to build out his restaurant, Richard looked within the ElevAsian community: he contracted a fellow cohort member to design his interior and sourced furniture and window treatments from alumni he had met across other cohorts. Business that could have easily gone to larger, established companies instead became an intentional investment in fellow small business owners, demonstrating how supporting small businesses can drive economic vitality, create opportunities, and strengthen the local business ecosystem.

Inspired by that spirit, the ElevAsian Marketplace is an online space where all under-resourced entrepreneurs can showcase their products, services, events, programs, and ventures to the public. The Marketplace was built to make what Richard experienced organically more intentional. It transforms serendipitous connections into a thriving, self-sustaining ecosystem where community members actively seek out and invest in one another.

How It Works

  • The ElevAsian Marketplace is designed to amplify the incredible businesses within our community.

ElevAsian Exclusives (Alumni of our Cohort & Mentorship Program and New Venture Cohort Program along with previous Pitch Contest participants) can submit their businesses complimentarily as part of their program benefits.

Not yet part of our ElevAsian community? You are still welcome to submit a listing for a nominal fee of $25, because great businesses deserve to be seen.

  • We review each entry to ensure authenticity and relevance with our database. Please allow 3-5 days for the review period during busy periods.

  • The public can browse, shop, attend, and contact to support the businesses within our communities and neighborhoods.

Finding the right business has never been easier!

Portrait of a smiling woman with long black hair, wearing a black top, posing against a dark background.

“I deeply appreciated the chance to share my story — and even more so, to hear from so many passionate entrepreneurs and listen to the dreams they’re building. It's not every day you get to be surrounded by people who are not only dreaming big but taking bold steps to make those dreams real. I walked away feeling more motivated than ever, and I'm truly grateful for the chance to be a part of it.”

— Khushi Yadav, Hoogah LLC.

“Most of [ElevAsian’s community] run small businesses, but what stood out was their courage to build something from the ground up—not only to support their families but also to celebrate and share their cultural heritage, enriching the local community with diversity.”

— May Wang, TÜV Rheinland of North America Inc.
