Mr. Johnny Charles

Johnny Charles is a Senior Business Consultant for J.P. Morgan Chase. As a Business Consultant Johnny supports minority business owners grow their business through accessible education, coaching and banking solutions. As an extension to J.P. Morgan Chase’s $30 billion dollar commitment, Johnny sets strategic partnerships in effort of creating an impact driven ecosystem for business clients throughout greater Boston. Johnny holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications with a focus on Journalism from Curry College and a Masters of Business Administration from Brandeis University, The Heller School for Social Policy and Management, as the institution’s first Social Justice scholar in 2009.

Prior to Chase, Johnny served as the first, Managing Director for The Boston Ujima Fund. Prior to Ujima, Johnny was the Director of Economic Development at Dorchester Bay Economic Development Corporation where he managed and overseen a subsidiary of the organization, the Neighborhood loan fund which deploys capital to local small businesses in Boston. In addition, Johnny also managed the organizations Reentry program, and a number of economic mobility initiatives as extended programs of the Department.

Johnny worked in the field of economic development on behalf of small businesses for a number of years. First, serving as the Boston Program Manager for Interise Boston managing its flagship program and prior, he was the Economic Development Specialist for Codman Square Neighborhood Development Corporation.
